Prize Details

There are a LOT of prizes available for contest participants and I’d like to detail a bit about how the prizes will be judged / describe some of the minor awards.

The major prizes will be judged off a few different criteria:

• Relevancy to My Boy Savior (This is a contest about the story)
  • Also to note: It doesn’t have to be a scene directly from the story, and instead could be a moment in-between scenes, concept art, portraits, comic strip. Anything that has a clear connection!
• Detail
• Beauty
• Creativity
• Wow Factor!

These attributes are technically subjective. I realize that. It’s strange to even consider ranking pieces of art like this, but I want to give back to the community that’s been built around this story and create a fun event out of it. I reserve the right to decide which artwork will win prizes – but I hope we can all agree that anyone participating in this event has my utmost appreciation.

The minor prizes are more specific and easier to explain:

Firstly, there are more minor prizes to go around! Many of them have the opportunity to go to more than one artist (Marked by the x2 above) While only one artist can receive one prize, here’s to hoping we see a lot of participation! I’d love to give out everything if I can!

• Honored Mention
  • The artwork closest to being in the Top 3! It would be amazing to give everyone a prize, but I’m not rich. That said, this award goes to the artwork I wanted to mention as a strong piece.

• That’s a Meme
  • The artwork(s) that makes me laugh! Not all fanart needs to be beautiful or meaningful. The name of the award speaks for itself.

• Cuteness Overload
  • Just like the above reward, this one speaks for itself. You know that feeling you get when reading intense fluff? Yeah. That.

• Jinx Award
  • This award goes to the artwork(s) that really capture Jinx and her likeness! That chaotic, frenzied, lovable girl!

• Ekko Award
  • This award goes to the artwork(s) that really capture Ekko and his personality! Firelight leader, Boy Savior, show me what you got!

LAST THING!

If this contest does well enough and everyone has fun with the event, I will include an extra bonus prize for a community voted winner! Details on that are sparse, but I’m thinking of having a voting poll for every non-Major prize winning submission and have y’all vote for your favorite artwork! More to come on that eventually.
