What is the contest?
In short, this contest is meant for artists who love My Boy Savior to show off their skills and create fanart of their favorite scenes from the story!
It’s no secret that I enjoy Fanart and it’s been a true gift to see so many beautiful, funny, and passionate works of art created because of this story. I wanted to do something fun, something that can get all my fans together for an awesome event and share something really great! Whether you’re a seasoned digital artist or someone that draws for a hobby, this event is meant for you to have fun and create something really cool!
I want this to be an awesome, community-wide event! So retweet the announcement! Give your artist friend a reason to watch Arcane and read My Boy Savior! Use #saviorcontest on tweets to help connect everyone with works in progress, excitement, questions, anything related to the event! The more people we have come together and celebrate this contest the better!
I think we can all enjoy the wonderful art that is submitted and watch the story I’ve written come to life through different and unique interpretations! Readers, Artists, Timebomb fans, or Arcane fans can all get the opportunity to support one another, discover new people to follow, and the fanfic itself gets a nice lil promotion! I may be hosting this contest, but the true stars of the show are all of you! I mean it! ❤
IS THERE A DEADLINE?
Yes! The deadline for the event is August 24th, 2022 (11:59pm PST) – EXTENSION. You have up until midnight of the 24th to submit your artwork. This is a month long contest to give artists plenty of time to work on their art and hopefully not disrupt their current schedule. However, you may submit anytime – and multiple pieces of fanart. (More details found in Contest Rules)
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?
I’ve outlined the contest below with dates and a general expectation of how things will progress throughout the month.
1.) Contest launch: July 22nd, 2022 (12:00am PST)✅
- Contest is officially live and submissions will be accepted.
2.) Contest Ends: August 24th, 2022 (11:59pm PST)✅
- Contest is over and submissions will no longer be considered for prizes. (Still welcome to submit late for the fun of it!)
3.) Review Period: August 24th, 2022 – August 30th, 2022✅- Submissions will be reviewed, checked for authenticity, and assigned specific prizes. (Review period subject to change depending on volume)
4.) Winner Announcements + Prizes: August 30th, 2022✅
- Once the review period ends, winners will be announced via Twitter and on this website! I will then contact the individuals that won to send them their prize. (Date is also subject to change based on review period length)
5.) Gallery is live and artwork is shared: August 30th, 2022 ✅
- The winning artworks may be shared alongside the winner announcements, but now is the time to share additional artwork from the contest! Shared art will be credited to the artist and posted in the gallery section of this website / my Twitter account.
